With a background in behavioral economics and a lifelong interest in personal development, Eleanor brings a unique perspective to the world of personal finance. She believes that understanding our emotional connection to money is the key to creating lasting positive change.
Before launching The Sage Wallet, Eleanor worked as a financial advisor at Willow Creek Investments in Portland, Oregon. Seeing firsthand the stress and anxiety that many people experience around money, she was inspired to create a platform that focuses on the emotional and psychological aspects of financial well-being. Eleanor holds a Master's degree in Economics from Reed College and is a certified Financial Wellness Instructor.
In her free time, Eleanor enjoys hiking in the Pacific Northwest, practicing mindfulness meditation, and spending time with her family. She is committed to living a life aligned with her values and hopes to inspire others to do the same.
David Ashton
Financial Advisor & Contributing Writer
David Ashton is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a contributing writer for The Sage Wallet. With over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, David brings a wealth of knowledge and practical expertise to the team. He is passionate about helping individuals and families achieve their financial goals through sound planning and informed decision-making.
David currently works at Pacific Coast Financial Planning, a boutique firm in Portland specializing in retirement planning and investment management. He is actively involved in the local community, volunteering his time to provide financial literacy workshops for underserved populations. David holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Oregon and is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
Outside of work, David enjoys playing guitar, exploring the local craft beer scene, and volunteering at the Oregon Food Bank. He believes that financial security is a fundamental building block for a happy and fulfilling life.
